Absolutely adored this place. I went here for a birthday and boy did they deliver. First and foremost, this is all because of the attentiveness of the staff. They were all super nice and catered to our every need. I must say tho, this does not seem like a place to go when you're looking for a vegetarian option. Not because I want to say that those options are bad here but more to say that they know ball when it comes to meat. We had steak tartare as starters (pretty decent) and for main we had duck and chicken aka demi-poullet et canard. If you don't like the French kitchen, just don't go here

I’ve been coming to Le French Café in Utrecht since it first opened, and it has truly never disappointed. The food is consistently high quality, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is exactly what you hope for: warm, stylish, and relaxed. What really makes this place special is that every visit brings new taste sensations on the menu. It stays fresh and innovative without ever compromising on quality—something you don’t often see. Honestly, many restaurants could take a cue from this place. For me, it’s a solid 10! 🍷🍽️

In my opinion the food was quite average, and the sea food platter did not quite meet my expectations. This could just be a wrong choice on my part though. The menu was not that large. The service was however top notch, with the service staff being welcoming and very polite. We were two and did not have a reservation but were able to get a table, probably because it was a week day evening. The atmosphere was also amazing, loved the decor and lighting. I would definitely like to try again other options on the menu.

Pleasant place in Utrecht at a convenient 15 minutes walk away from the station. Had a reservation for the outside but it was raining and staff automatically relocated us to a table inside, which was nice. Price is on the high side. Toilets were clean. Staff was friendly.
