If you are the type that would love to listen to a live band while watching sports, then this is the place for you. Though the atmosphere was not really giving for me. By the way, expect gender discrimination by security at the entrance if you are walking into the transcorp building unaccompanied by someone especially the opposite sex (even if you are not wearing revealing cloth). I consider this unfair but I guess its how their security was trained

Capital Bar is a Sport Bar inside Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. Its a really nice and cool place for a Date Night with friends or a loved one. The indoor bar is quite cosy and not so crowded with life band playing on Friday. I was there on a Friday night and I enjoyed everything else except the live band. There is a possibility I was quite early to the bar but the live band were playing soul music and I wondered why they were playing that on a Friday night. Well we had to step out and the music from the pool made our night. The out door bar is also very cool, the view is nice. The service at capital bar was great and the food and drinks were amazing. This is the 3rd place I have been to within Transcorp and none has disappointed. The indoor bar sprung to live just as I was leaving as the band increased the tempo of their songs to hippopotamus and afrobeat. Definitely coming back someday! A must visit for anyone in or visiting Abuja.
