Nothing spectacular. Guess I will need to visit more to understand why this is a favourite with locals. Or maybe I got the wrong good impressions. The bruschetta was uber creamy and not my thing. The mushroom sauce was spectacular if I must say but the cod was absolutely tasteless. They make their own ice cream, the rum and raisins was not bad. The pizza from the pizzeria came in hot and tasty. The service can be improved upon though, when it comes to new customers

I love how this place serves Italian food yet has such a Nigerian feel to it. “The Nigerian Gather House” they call it. Their pizzas are firewood made, they have a good pasta menu....tried their ravioli in pink sauce and loved it. There’s also gelato and a lot of retro pieces like the typewriter, record player and the Nigerian touches....ankara throw pillows, straw mat roof. They have a bar area inside and outside. And ahaaa they have tea and coffee. Good place to talk over lunch.

I don’t know why I hadn’t heard of Umutu until now. The food is excellent and I am not exaggerating. Everything was so good that I forgot to take photos. When next I visit, I will definitely take some. I like that the table covers are white and red; true Italian style. Try the salmon meal, the seafood pasta or the Baraccuda and potatoes when you visit. We got complimentary chai tea after our meal and that’s when I remembered to take photos
