Update: Went back for Fathers day lunch! June was so kind to let us wait at our car while waiting for our turn since it was so hot outside and my parents are seniors. Melvic and Kia were so helpful and accomodating in serving. Consistent customer service at Some Thai. Parents are both happy with the food and service. Thank you, Some Thai. 🩷 Orig: I totally loved all the food. I'm so thankful for Chef Jorge Mendez's talent and that he shares it through his restaurant at Some Thai. We waited for over an hour in line because so many people wanted to eat there. JP got us in line properly and gave us great food recommendations. Charles gave us super friendly and helpful service. He was really speedy and polite. Now I get why people line up to eat here. I'm definitely coming back!

Some Thai continues to be one of the best Thai restaurants in Manila, and after multiple visits to both the QC and Podium branches, I can confidently say their consistency is impressive. The flavors are bold, vibrant, and well-balanced across the board. Favorites include the rich crab curry, crab rice, deeply comforting tom yum, and their excellent Thai fried chicken. Even staples like the pad thai and mango sticky rice are executed with care and authenticity. Chef Jorge clearly understands how to keep diners excited while maintaining quality. Service is fast and efficient despite the volume of guests, and the lively ambiance adds to the overall experience. Just be prepared for queues during peak hours since they don’t accept reservations. Very deserving of the Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition, and easily a restaurant I highly recommend and happily return to.

The food was good, but not quite what I expected from a Michelin-rated place. If I had to recommend, the Tom Yum and Pad Thai stood out the most. The crab curry rice didn’t really impress, and the chicken satay was just okay.. Clean flavors, but nothing memorable. The mango sticky rice was good, though not particularly standout. I had high expectations for the pomelo salad, but it felt quite average despite a nice dressing. The crab omelette rice leaned more towards a simple, home-style garlic fried rice. They staff were all accommodating.

Luckily, was instantly able to grab a seat for four by coming in at 4PM on a friday. You have to be complete as a group or they won't seat you. Inside, there's limited seating but the service was fast and the staff were definitely friendly. The crab curry that day was legit delicious, I have no words for it. Soft, delicious, plump crab meat plus the sauce wow - although it was a minor let down that when we got the leftovers for take out, the oil dripped all over the packaging. It wasn’t secure. The thai fresh spring rolls were definitely fresh, but maybe it was just that, nothing special, and 40 pesos to get a sauce refill ehhh… The tom yum and pork krapao were both flavorful, not spicy and overall ok. The mango sticky rice as a dessert was a great end to the meal, mangoes weren't sour at all, good amount of sauce coating the rice. Overall, enjoyed the food and could see how they got their Michelin distinction, really not just some thai. Worth the try but maybe not for the one h

The food was superb. 💯 Worth the price, big servings too :) The ambiance was also chill and light. Such a harmony of flavors! The service was good and friendly, specially, Amir. Overall, it was a good experience, but not something crave-able or i would want to go back to every now and then, it is a pleasant experience though, I'd go back once in a while. Worth the try! (the only downside is the waiting time to be seated but understandable) ☺️ Would highly recommend the Crab Omelette Rice!

Waited for more than an hour to try this place. The Tom Yum was good, Pad Thai was okay, too sweet for my liking. The Tom Yum Chicken was flavorful but serving size was too small for its price. Would not recommend the Squid Krapao, sauce is too salty. Overall, place is comfortable once you’re inside. Wait will definitely be looooong during peak hours. Better visit them during off-peak hours.

5-Star Review: Amazing Food & Outstanding Service by Charles! If you are looking for an incredible dining experience in Quezon City, I highly recommend checking out Some Thai at their Tomas Morato branch. While the food here is absolutely top-tier, what really made our visit memorable was the outstanding service. A huge shoutout to our server, Charles! He was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and highly professional throughout our entire meal. He made sure we had everything we needed and truly elevated our dining experience. Why You Should Visit: Shoutout to Charles: Attentive, fast, and friendly service that makes you feel right at home. The Food: As a Michelin Guide recognized spot, the food is phenomenal. The Pad Thai, Crab Curry, Crab rice and Mango Sticky Rice are absolute must-tries. The Vibe: A beautiful, modern, and minimalist space that is perfect for casual hangouts or special dinners. Quick Tip: If you're looking for the place on maps or social media, the restaurant's actu

No wonder this place has a Michelin distinction! Easily the best Thai food I’ve had since arriving in Manila. The standout dishes for me were the pineapple rice, tom yum, chicken satay, and especially the crab curry-each one packed with authentic flavors and cooked beautifully. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and why this restaurant has earned such a strong reputation. That said, the pad thai was a bit off compared to the other dishes, and the spring rolls were just okay. Also, be prepared for a wait, I waited quite a while for a table. A small note to fellow diners: if you’ve finished your meal and there’s a long queue of people waiting, it would be considerate to free up your table for the next guests. This is a busy restaurant with many people hoping to enjoy the experience too. Overall, despite a few minor misses and the long wait, the food was outstanding and absolutely worth trying. I’ll definitely be back.
