Nice atmosphere and cosy place. Place was short staff and service took ages,food was served cold, very low quality of meat and everything even a beer or a coffee took ages. Was a massive disappointment the food given. We asked Bife da Vazia that was a higher quality steak and was given a cheap/low quality meat. I Will not recommend to eat here. Defenitly need a chef and a massive improvement. After being fooled with something else instead the steak we asked all the trust in the restaurant was gone. Needs a massive change to be a place to succeed.

I had dinner at A Tasca do Confrade on a Sunday evening. I knew it was a simple, traditional place, so my expectations were not too high, but the experience was still a bit disappointing. Ordered grilled prawns and grilled small cuttlefish, served with boiled cabbage, black-eyed peas and potatoes. The prawns were decent, but nothing memorable. The cuttlefish was the weakest part: to me it tasted like a frozen product, and overall the dish was just below average. Stumbled on the restaurant by chance. After reading the reviews, it seems like a good place. Once entering the restaurant, it has a classic atmosphere. The food we ordered were Seafood rice, mussles, grilled codfish. All are insanely delicious. The mussles with tamato based sauce are so good. The mussles are huge. The seafood rice is sooo yummy. The codfish is firm abd fresh. For desserts, we ordered the "cream of heaven," and coffees. It is so delectable. Overall, great service and memorable experience.
