Traditional restaurant in Evora city center, one of the few where locals love to dine (and yes you will also find some tourists). I was extremely satisfied by the food and by the service. The folks at the hotel that we were staying at recommended that we try this restaurant out. After reading the reviews we decided to give it a go but would probably not go back again. We ordered the shark with clams, Grilled chicken (which was the only chicken dish on the menu) and Grilled salmon. The table next to us was having dessert which looked really delicious so we ordered the chocolate mousse. Nice place and waitress was very friendly and could understand/speak good English. Helpfully told us the fish soup was similar to the main we were ordering. We had a mixed salad, the shark with clams and the pork with clams. Unsurprisingly very similar and probably should have gone for a different second dish. The pork was tender and sauce good; the shark (cacao) and its sauce were over salted and that's where the star was lost. Laid back atmosphere. Full meal with 0.5l carafe of good house red was only €30.

Beautiful location in the old town of evora. Very friendly service without English, a little bit of a language barrier but we worked our way around. It’s also a sign that mostly locals eat there. I recommend the beans with tuna as starter which is very delicious … Everything was fresh, order something and you’ll be surprised by its taste. Thank you for the ginja in the end! I would totally visit again!!!
