Mercy, who guided us through the evening recommended also the perfect pairing of regional wines. It also great to see the family involved in an open kitchen. I walked by this spot mid day to look at dinner later on. Mercy saw us and came out to greet us. We had a great visit and booked dinner later that evening. Absolutely fantastic tasting menu experience from start to finish. Chefs choice on the menu and wine pairing we also decided on but they definitely take your preferences into account. Mercy thoroughly explained all food and beverage courses. The restaurant has unique local wines some of which are small production you won’t see many other places. Orines in Évora, Portugal, is a charming husband-and-wife-run spot that delivers both warmth and exceptional food. We shared several dishes, each thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The roasted cauliflower was perfectly caramelized with deep flavor, while the fresh salad offered a crisp, balanced contrast. The pork tenderloin was tender, juicy, and expertly seasoned, and the bread with hummus was simple yet delicious. The owners were attentive and welcoming, happily guiding us through the menu. Orgen was one of our favoirte meals of the trip. We loved our table where we could watch Chef Ana bring every course together, which adds something to the whole experience. The pairings were thoughtful and perfectly matched, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was exactly what you want from a small, well-loved restaurant. Note that reservations are very helpful.
