Really overrated and over praised restaurant, there are a lot of better options for this price range and lower. Even if I had no expectations of this restaurant, it would still have left a bad impression on me. As others have said, It didn't reach the level of Italian cuisine, nor did it highlight Alentejo products to the point of it being noticed. The food is okay-ish, but doesn't really have any memorable touch of Alentejo's cuisine. I have nothing against the gastronomic proposal, in fact, I enjoy seeing different chef's approach to food and the sharing concept, however this restaurant did

Great experience! We appreciated the help choosing a local wine, then thoroughly enjoyed the food (we only wish we had chosen the cheese to accompany the gardeneira rather than the meat - but only for something new and different for us, no reflection on the meat plate which was delicious). The ragu was amazing and the beef was also delicious. And we are glad we tried the Faroflas! Note that the price we selected included five total glasses of wine. We wish we had taken a selfie with the team - it is a small and intimate place, and everyone was very welcoming! Next time!

Phenomenal is the only way to describe this place. From the food, to the beer and wine to the staff. Everything is great. Bread and cheese. Then the tartare. Best Ragu I have eaten and then possibly topped by the Frittata. Menu changes so can't guarentee you will have an opportunity try this. But it won't matter. Eveything will be delicious I'd bet money on it.

We had an amazing authentic Italian experience at Tua Madre! We spend a lot of time in Italy and it was incredible to taste a real carbonara with Portuguese guanciale in Evora on our first night! French toast was also amazing, really recommend this place!
