Great atmosphere with even better service from bartender Sanny. Highly recommend the signature mix that Sanny specialises in (not sure if it changes seasonally). The ramen were cooked well but there’s room to improve in terms of the flavour, especially for the beef ramen. Came here for birthday dinner and they gave us a whiskey mix, on the house. Had a great time at this bar.

The food was decent, though not everything stood out. If I were to recommend a couple of dishes, the Spicy Beef Ramen and the Foie Gras Bara Chirashi Don would be my picks. 😬 A special shout-out to Matiin, the Bar Operations Manager, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. His recommendations were spot on and definitely enhanced our dining experience. That said, I personally think you come to Umesan not for the food, but for their impressive selection of umeshu and umeshu-based cocktails. It’s something that’s surprisingly hard to find elsewhere, and the sheer variety of umeshu available can really catch you by surprise. Even if you’re not usually a fan, there’s probably one that will win you over. For umeshu lovers, this place is definitely worth a visit. 💖

Vibey speakeasy izakaya bar in SG 🍶🎏 food was delish with generous portions, especially their nagoya dry ramen & thick slabs of sashimi 🍜🍣 despite being known for ume, their other selections of highballs & cocktails also impressed. This speakeasy bar have been arounf for sometime now, but just only we decided to have lunch here. . Have to say the lunch set menu is truly worth it. This has officially become my go-to lunch spot for Ramen, ok, and also night drinks with friends. ​The Dry Ramen was incredible and truly right up my alley, perfectly balanced and flavorful. A huge shoutout to Matiin, who was a fantastic host. He was so friendly and even recommended we try the Ume highball for our lunch. We took his advice and we’re so glad we did. ​Great food, even better service. Highly recommend and we will be back to try the drinks for sure.

Entering through the row of hidden vending machine is so fun 🤩 as we visited on a friday, they had the promo of 1 free set for every 4 umeshu sets (fruity, experimental, premium, kotsuzumi) which is great for trying different profiles - a must if you love umeshu 🥂 also got the rose plum liquor based on recommendation of the staff which is really easy to drink. food wise, so so~ here for a birthday celebration and got free shots on the house ☺️

A variety of umeshu - you'll definitely find something you like. The bartenders are well-versed in their offerings and friendly enough that you don't feel intimidated asking them to recommendations. I got the 3 cups set of tea-based umeshu and they were so good! For food, we got the dry ramen & mentaiko fries - both acceptable for bar food but not really a big portion, they are just to go with the drinks.
