If you’re looking for a proper winter meal, this is the place to go. Right by the main wall entrance, Raíces has a cozy and lively air that invites you in. The food is absolutely delicious! We ordered: - The judías del barco con matanza (which was the perfect winter starter. Tasty, warm, and bread-dipping worthy) - Verduras a la parrilla (lovely grilled seasonal veggies) - Huevos rotos (can never go wrong with this dish!) - Two incredible solomillo beef cuts from the famous regional Avileña-Negra Ibérica breed. Mind-blowingly good!!! Everything was paired with a stunning red wine from Burgos.

Quaint establishment - we ordered avocado salad, foie gras, and a few other dishes. A wide array of highly unique menu items - Each item we ordered was flavorful and well executed. Wait staff was mixed - our server was very helpful but we saw others that were a bit careless. With finer dining, prices were on the higher end but as expected.

Must go to restaurant. Literally in the tower of the historical Ávila. We had a warm welcome, wonderful and excellent food. Local products! Javier served us exquisitely. The guest is king/queen and they do their utmost best to be of service. Good atmosphere and nice music. Not too loud.
