We had grilled fish, which was good, the squid was ok, the caesar salad was not made the way we are used too, so maybe it is just made differently in Spain, our server was very helpful, with suggestions. However, we were charged for the bread which we did not order, it was just put on our table, and we were charged more than the posted menu price of each of our dishes. We were very disappointed with how this was done. We have traveled in Andalucia area of Spain and this never occurred at any of the restaurants we went to. What should you do when you have five hours in Badajoz station between trains from Portugal to Madrid? Not hang around at the dire station cafe for sure, but try this warm and welcoming local restaurant in the centre of town Hearty Extremaduran food and, despite having no common language between us, very helpful and attentive bar people. Saved our bacon (literally).
