I went during a weekday for the set menu at lunch and it was incredible value, great setting and amazing service. I wasn't going to get a dessert, because the starter and main looked big enough, but the waitress recommended I got this pastry with cream, syrup and custard (I've forgotten the Basque name). It was perfect - I am so grateful to her for the recommendation. All three courses complemented each other and were the epitome of amazing Basque food. Thanks to all the staff.

Loved it here. The menu del dia was tasty and incredible value at 20 euros for 3 courses including half a bottle of wine. There was a really happy atmosphere and despite the restaurant being very busy the staff were friendly and seemed happy in their work. A special mention to Santiago who not only took our orders but also helped me with translation on my phone. He was very pleasant and a real asset to the restaurant. I would definitely recommend going there

PRO'S: The restaurant Kasko jatetxea was a very pleasant discovery for their excellent Menu del Dias. Our group of four had a red Rioja wine with bread, green salads for starters, grilled fish, grilled steak and all four desserts. All excellent. Nicki our server was pleasant and helpful. CON'S: Absolutely none SUMMARY: Restaurant Kasko jatetxea in Old Town Bilbao was a wonderful experience worth visiting for good taste and value.

This has been one of my favorite place to eat in throughout the Basque Country so far on our trip. We got the muscles to share as a starter and 2 mains (squid and seabass) to share with a bottle of Red. These were so delicious I want to go back and eat it all over again! The portions were generous and very well priced. The staff were so friendly epically Naroa!! Thank you ! And the ambience was fantastic with a guy playing the piano I must also mention the gorgeous Art work on the walls. Highly recommend in the old town Bilbao.
