One of the nicest surprises in Cádiz. I rarely leave reviews, but this place truly deserves one. The food was absolutely fantastic – we had beetroot salmorejo with smoked tuna, pork croquettes, a meat brioche, and grilled cod, and everything was perfectly prepared. You can really feel the quality and attention to detail; this is not just an ordinary restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and the prices were very reasonable for the level of quality. A special mention for the bread – several different types and so good that I simply couldn’t stop eating it 😄

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The restaurant tries to present itself as classy and upscale, but honestly, you can get much better food and service at a local bar. The mejillones tasted strange and didn’t seem fresh at all. We also ordered our beef well done, but it arrived almost raw. When we sent it back, instead of properly cooking it, they sliced it into thin pieces to “fix” it. It was disappointing that they couldn’t simply prepare a regular well-done piece of beef correctly. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Balandro! It was a fabulous experience! The waiter and waitress were very kind and patient with me as my Spanish is not the best.. The food was absolutely brilliant! It was good to try some Spanish cuisine with a twist, it was all so tasty and the desert was delicious! I’ve never had anything like it before. The atmosphere was great too, wonderful to see it so busy and alive! Thank you so much!
