I had the salmorejo, the rabo de toro, and a flan for dessert. The rabo de toro was amazing and cooked really well, but I was not a big fan of the flan or the salmorejo. I wanted the flan to be a bit simpler, and the salmorejo felt very authentic but maybe the original recipe is just not for me. I was served by a very friendly waiter, and even with the language barrier he tried his best to understand me and got everything right. Overall, I had a good experience here.

The hotel we stayed in had a list of recommended local restaurants in their welcome pack for guests and Taberna Rincon de las Beatillas was near the top of that list. Location wise, it's a little further from the 'main' touristy part of town which suited us just fine. In fact, RDLB retains a very homey local feel to it, with the dining tables arranged around an airy, light filled courtyard that enhances the dining experience. Even though we arrived slightly before opening time, we were warmly invited in and seated. Staff here speak limited English and you'll have to rely on Google translate

Typical Cordoba taberna and beautiful light pateo. Avoid the fried garlic shrimps portion (very small as a "racion" but cost us 18€).

A great place that gives great service despite a language barrier. The food is rustic and delicious. I recommend the oxtail, fried pork lechon and the garlic soup.
