This is one of my favorite moments in the week. After a difficult time in life and moving to a new neighborhood, this cafeteria has been a consistent and refreshing place for me. It’s always open, the staff are friendly and they treat everyone so kindly that it provides a genuine sense of community. Knowing that it’s there and that I can go and be treated so well, while I watch the world go by is a wonderful feeling when it’s needed. Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was unacceptable due to the waitress's behavior. I respectfully requested a small adjustment to my order, explaining the reason, but her reaction was rude and completely unprofessional. She even started yelling inside the restaurant, which I could clearly hear. This kind of behavior toward any customer is unacceptable. The only positive aspect was that the owner and chef handled the situation respectfully and tried to calm her down, but the waitress's behavior ruined the entire experience. I had breakfast here the other day, and I think my expectations were too high. I arrived and there was a TV on with the news playing a bit loudly. Without anyone attending to me, I asked if I could sit at a table, and they said OK. I ordered a black coffee and a whole slice of toast with tomato, turkey, and avocado… I'll just say, look at the photos and then the price. The bread was clearly untoasted (very soft) and the tomato was very ordinary.
