We had a wonderful lunch experience ! The restaurant came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. They are fixed price menu had many delicious choices. I wish we could have even tried more. The cod brandade was absolutely outstanding as were the braised pork cheeks. The dessert options were also very satisfying including their cheesecake and Cafe flan . We had cafe solo to wash it all down. Not only was this a delicious meal to service was wonderful. The decor was charming and it was very attractively priced. We felt it was a great value and really look forward to coming back to Girona

We had the menu of the day, me the pork cheek cooked in beer (tastier) and my partner the pork leg with tomato and plums (a bit dry given that the sauce was one the side). I also got a starter, escalivada (a bit sad it only had one anchovy altough the menu said with anchovies plural). Wine of the house and water, as well as a dessert (we got the coconut flan) were included. Nice ambience and overall good experience, although some dishes could be improved.

The location is really superb! It is like in a movie! Big plus that it is open till 00:00. But the food was not tasty at all. I ordered fish with peas purée and sweet pancakes with strawberry. Fish was very greasy and almost no spices, and puree was tasting like raw flour…when I asked to add some salad with vegetables without onion (but any kind of vegetables including cucumbers etc) I got a strange plate of peas and carrot with no spices. Really enjoyable bistro, we sat inside & had cooling fan. Menu of the day (€25) for three courses, a drink, water & bread. Excellent value, really good quality food & friendly staff. The next time we are in Girona we will eat at Café le Bistrot again... can't say better than that.
