This unassuming restaurant is actually one of the sunniest spots to eat lunch in Huelva, and very popular with locals. It's on the edge of a car park and is in the middle of the undeveloped site of the old market, so many visitors to Huelva will just walk straight past towards the more well-known streets The staff are friendly and there is a simple menu with seasonal specials. Locals go mad for the cod and chickpea stew and in summer their salmorejo, and I love their Berenjenas Mozárabes tapa (cooked fresh so slower than other tapas.) Perfect spot for tapas. Good prices and tasty dishes. The grilled cuttlefish was delicious (€18). However, the garlic shrimp croquettes were overpowered by the aioli, which completely masked the croquette's flavor. It was a shame that after paying and checking the bill, we saw we'd been charged for drinks that weren't ours. They apologized and refunded the extra amount in cash.

A spectacular place, steeped in tradition, serving the best cuttlefish in all of Huelva. It's a shame the city council isn't doing anything and is forcing the oldest bar in Huelva to close. It should be a historical landmark, being a family business with over 100 years of history.

Great location. Good service. Good food. Good prices… And above all, a lot of history. Once they finish the main square, it will be a place of pilgrimage in Huelva. That said… they should update the interior a bit; it looks like a warehouse with everything in the way of the bathroom.
