We went up to Picalagartos Sky Bar right after checking into the NH Collection Hotel, and it was the perfect way to kick off our stay in Madrid. A perk of being a hotel guest is having our own private elevator—while the public crowd has to wait in line and pay a small cover, we just zipped right up. Super convenient. We timed our visit just before sunset, and the view was absolutely stunning—360° cityscapes with the rooftops of Madrid glowing golden. Everything was perfect. We were welcomed by Gabriella. She was very professional, competent and welcoming. The dinner went smoothly, she suggest us very delicious courses. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to spend a very fine dinner with an outstanding view of Madrid’s skyline.

I recently dined at Picalagartos Sky Bar & Restaurant and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the beautiful setting. The restaurant itself is stunning, with great views and an elegant atmosphere but the food and service were deeply disappointing. We ordered our steak well done. When it arrived, it was extremely undercooked , to the point that it was practically raw. This wasn’t a subtle difference in preference; it was nowhere near well done.
