My wife and I spent 9 days in Spain and Portugal, and our dinner at Restaurante la Casona was easily one of the top two or three meals we enjoyed during our vacation. The portions are very large and what we ordered was wonderfully delicious! Pictured below are the grilled octopus over batatas, the grilled goat cheese salad with balsamic vinegar and caramelized onions, and the salmon tartar over avocado. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the excellent presentation and quality of the dishes. We would definitely return to eat here. 5/5

Food was very savory and was served within a timely manner, faster than expected was great. Our server Jose was friendly and provided his recommendations. Great spot to stop and enjoy the atmosphere very close to the Teatro Romano de Mérida. Had the carne con tomate, highly recommended.
