We went to the small town of Telde in an attempt to find authentic food from the Canary Islands. The restaurant La Tunera looked promising, so we were ready when they opened at 8 pm. We were welcomed by Nuño, who turned out to be a pleasant and skilled waiter. He guided us through the menu, and made recommendations on how we should put together our meal. We ended up sharing a bread serving, fried cheese with cactus jam, sweet potato waffle, tacos and pulled Canarian pork. Everything was as expected and more.
