Yummy and affordable food! The Carcamusa and Patata Skala are more unique dishes and I would recommend trying them. Patata Skala is similar to patata bravas, but I find the white sauce that Skala restaurant uses is more delicious than the typical red sauce elsewhere. They have the option of 1/2 portion or full ración for sharing. The ración is filling and comes with bread on the side. We were 5 people and ordered 2 raciónes of Carcamusa, 1 ración of Patata Skala, and 1 ración of Oreja (pig ears). In hindsight, 1 ración of Carcamusa would have been sufficient.

Do we eat in restaurants for the amazing food or for atmosphere? I think both are pretty important but the food comes first. The interior is not much to look at but the food...wow. We weren't very hungry and this was more like a light lunch. Or it was supposed to be. We had a stew that was loaded with meat, veggies and lots of sauce to dip the fresh french bread. It was by far the best stew I have ever eaten. To get in our veggies we ordered the sautéed garlic mushrooms. Talk about garlic. Wow. If in Toledo this is a must. Would we go back? Absolutely the stew was worth the trip.
