DISAPPOINTED After traveling to Torrelavega looking for the best cachopo in the area, we were disappointed. I must say that the waitress's service was very good, but the food was DISAPPOINTING. The cachopo had burnt batter from being fried in overused oil, overcooked beef, and an invisible cheese. The visual aspect didn't help either. I've eaten other cachopos in unknown places, and I can assure you they haven't been anything like this one. The experience was bad because we were swayed by the comments, which on more than one occasion were wrong, and we wasted our time and money. I have over 30

The service from the waitress and the manager was good. They were a little slow to serve our cachopo, but I have to say it was very good—not greasy at all and very flavorful. The beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked, making it easy to eat. The price is reasonable. One minor drawback, as always, is the house wine, which I don't recommend. But for cachopo, it's definitely worth a visit. Don't expect a spectacular restaurant, though.

It had been years since I'd been here. During the Torrelavega festivities, we saw the Mesón's advertisement and decided to have a family meal. We ordered three cachopos... and they were absolutely delicious! The most popular was the cecina (cured beef), followed by the mushroom and Cabrales cheese, and then the bacon and goat cheese. The service was wonderful, and the chef was incredibly friendly; he even took some photos with me. Highly recommended, and even better with cider... We were very happy and will definitely be back. Thank you so much!
