I don’t review so much , but I have to say the accommodation was a great boutique style hotel experience. There is an incredible cafe/resturant downstairs which is great for working eating coffee . Also all kinds of cool Knick knacks/ antiques around avail to purchase. Love the decor vibe of the rooms. It all feels very cozy. Yousef and the team has been super helpful in accommodating my complicated schedule. Highly recommend it (no ai used in this review )

Black cat is by far our favourite place to stay in Colombo. Not in priority order but the rooms are simple(a good thing) clean and very comfortable. The cafe food is delicious and the people are lovely. Could be tempted to omit a rave review because at just four rooms it can be challenging to get a room already! But love this place so much it is not an option to keep secret.|Oh and I nearly forgot - great location!

Super cozy place — I truly enjoyed my stay and had an amazing time here. The internet in the rooms is a bit weak, but in the common areas it works well enough to comfortably get work done, which was important for me. The coffee downstairs is excellent — really delicious! The only small downside is that the portions are a bit on the small side 😄 Overall, great vibes and a lovely experience. Would happily come back!

We chose this cafe for a client meetup. I arrived at 5.15, ordered a cappuccino and a house salad. Place looked nice, service was ok, overall ambience was good. My guest arrived at 5.30 and ordered a cappuccino, and during the discussions we were interrupted multiple times to settle the bill and grab my unfinished salad bowl. It was only after I asked why such a rush, that they told us closing time is six. I surrendered my not-so-cheap bowl of salad although I was enjoying the flavours. We don't expect a cafe to close so early. Ideally, we would have been given a heads up when ordering. Definitely something to be mindful about if picking this location for an unrushed alone time or meeting.
