1 of our favorite breakfast stops as American tourists as it was a bit more off the beaten path being on the southern half of the river, and felt much more local. We each got coffee drinks (preferred the cappuccino) and a waffle order (Incredible!), a pancake order, and another small ham sandwich. The food doesn't look huge but is heartier than it appears and was excellent. Almost even more than the food, the setting is excellent and the two staff we interacted with were very friendly. BEST SPOT FOR BREAKFAST - GET THE WAFFLE! One of my favorite meals on my Europe trip. What a cool little café in downtown Lucerne. Nestle just next to one of the beautiful art museums in a quaint little neighborhood. The café serves breakfast until 11 AM, and then lunch fixings right after. We got there right at 11 AM, and we’re greeted by one of the hosts, who also doubled as the owner. She was super friendly, impromptu, explaining the entire menu.
