Got turned down by the busy Biergarten near the castle, and stumbled upon this gem. Waiters were friendly and had an excellent lunch of calamari (grandma's recipe according to waiter) and baked chicken (not as tender as advertised but the citrus reduction was delicious).

We were a large party of 16-18 and they were incredibly accommodating and happy to serve us. We ordered a few bottles of wine, and many dishes including the carbonara, seafood risotto, vongole, tagliatelle, paella, and a few different pizzas. The focaccia appetizer was also delicious. Portions were large and shareable for our family. The food was excellent and the service was amazing - we had such a great time here.

The waitress was sweet and authentic. I had the lunch special which was delicious. I loved the soup. I wish I had asked for the name before leaving. Surprised that I was charged for hot tap water, but I’m seeing this is the norm in this country (so no big deal). Everyone was attentive.
