I was short on time for the night but still made my way over for a quick drink. The speakeasy concept is nice and it brings me back to the old days with the rotary phone! Ordered the Sky Above Garden made with sorghum, gin, green cardamom, matcha, and elderflower. I enjoyed this unique cocktail even though it was more on the sweet side. It was really smooth but packed some good punch. I definitely want to come back again to try some other drinks here.

First bar that I visited when I landed in Kaohsiung, a great speakeasy place for people looking at something special to visit around the area. The bar is relatively easy to find, its right across the police station in the alley. I would recommend booking in advance to reserve your spot because it’s always busy on the weekends. Food’s were great and bartenders were giving out awesome vibes as well. Overall, its a five stars for me and I will definitely see myself coming more often.

I am Very Impressed with this speakeasy. The eye-opening experience from entrance, cocktails, presentations and services made my short KaoHsiung stay full with great memories. No open-toes shoes allowed, but even if you happen to show up with sandals, the server would ask kindly to you to switch to their shoes. I sat by the bar and watched how the bartender makes the drinks, let me tell you, it was a show with mesmerizing experience one after another! Also, they have impressive selections on whiskey and gins so if you like those, this is your place. Overall, I think this is a MUST if you are staying in the downtown area! Cheers 😉 🍻 👏

Swung by Bar Gaz tonight. You'll have to use the telephone in order to gain access to the upstairs bar. I had two drinks, Soulful House (I think?) and Mishima's Last Words. The latter drink was absolutely amazing. The hojicha-infused gin was so aromatic. I've also ordered two food items, dumplings (boiled) and salted pork. They did take a while to make, but the results were delicious. The salted pork especially worked very well as a side dish accompanying the cocktails I had. 5/5, would definitely revisit again when I'm in Kaohsiung.

Bar Gaz is just such a vibe. It was such a great find as a solo traveler, where you can sit, take it easy, chat if you want or just chill. The staff were lovely, the bartender especially was on point (slicked back hair, earring maybe? Every drink was SO GOOD) and they were really great at making sure the experience was a great one. I highly recommend!
