found the oat latte smooth and well balanced, the espresso super fruity with a lovely nose. desserts were great - pound cake was perfectly toasted and I especially enjoyed the tiramisu. nice ambience for a little sit down and the team had great hygiene around food/coffee prep. would come back!!
Lovely lowkey spot in a quiet neighbourhood. The owners are really nice and friendly. The interior space is decorated really well.
If you’re a light roast lover, here is the perfect place to have a cup coffee and chill. Homemade desserts here are also highly recommended. Nice atmosphere and nice owner.

My husband and I were visiting from LA and had this place marked on our Tainan coffee crawl. The shop was not immediately easy to find, but when we finally arrived, we were charmed by the decor. It’s a neatly designed coffee shop tucked inside a residential street, and very unassuming. The interior was sleek but not overtly modern, so felt warm and welcoming. The menu offered a variety of espresso and single origin drinks. As espresso drinkers, we aimed for the more intense choices: the Piccolo and the One and One. After trying the Piccolo, my semi-coffee snob husband turns to me and says: “This is my favorite coffee in all of Taiwan.” Astonished by his remarks, I gave it a taste, and whole-heartedly agreed. The espresso blend was smooth but strong, with notes of blubbery jam, giving it an aromatic taste, and mixed very well with the small portions of milk. The One and One was also delightful, but the Piccolo stood out as the winner. The barista/owner mentioned that they make the blend

Best coffee shop I visited in Taiwan. For the coffee but also the kindness of the staff and the general ambiance in the shop. They put high quality beans in their milk drinks as much as their pour overs and are dedicated to serve you the best cup of coffee. The owner is super friendly and highly knowledgeable in coffee (Q grader - which is probably the highest level you can get in the specialty coffee industry). As a barista myself, I was really impressed by their level of attention and hospitality. They even recommended me a lot of places to visit during my trip. What a great experience and happy discovery! I came there on the two days I had left in Tainan. Definitely go visit if you have a chance - besides they open early, quite uncommon for the city.

Friendly barista who made us delicious coffee! We order the iced Americano and iced oat white - both great! Knowing we're tourists, he also bothered to have a chat with us to recommend places of interest in the area. If you're in Tainan, highly recommended to visit!

Kooi Coffee serves one of the best 1+1 I've ever had. The texture is smooth and rich, almost like drinking chocolate. The coffee is flavorful and aromatic, and the tiramisu with its ice cream middle layer is also a delightful surprise. The friendly owner and fantastic coffee make this a must-visit spot. I'll definitely come back next time when I'm in Tainan!

The coffee and hospitality is great, which is why we decided to visit again on our trip this time! We will definitely come back again the next time we are in town!
