I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at this restaurant. I have nut allergy, and I was served a dish containing nuts without anyone asking. And when I realized there’s a nut, i immediately called the staff but i need to go all the way down because we are sitting upstairs and all the staff was down.! How come why there is no one upstairs?? So i need to help myself and call the staff down to inform them that the food they served has a nuts! - So the manager came and sounds like he is blaming me and told me “why mam, you didn’t check if there is nuts? “ it’s like .. what the.. so my mistake then? - A restaurant should take customer safety seriously and show empathy when such situations occur. Rather than feeling supported, I felt dismissed and blamed for something that could have resulted in a serious medical emergency. Additionally, asking the customer allergies is an etiquette. This experience left me feeling unsafe. I hope management reviews their allergy protocols a

I would like to share feedback regarding a recent visit to Rain Corniche. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel that experience should be shared. During our visit, my friend. who has a nut allergy, accidentally consumed food containing nuts. We acknowledge that we should have informed the staff about the allergy when placing our order, and we take responsibility for that oversight. However, after taking a bite, my friend began experiencing difficulty breathing and had to use her inhaler. Thankfully, she had it with her, and the situation did not become more serious. What concerned us most was not the mistake itself, but the way the situation was handled. When we brought the matter to the attention of the manager, we felt that the response lacked the empathy and concern that such a situation deserved. While we understand the importance of reading menu descriptions, hearing “You didn’t read the menu?!”during a health-related incident felt dismissive and did not reflect the level

We called in here this morning for breakfast whilst on the way to the palace. My girlfriend had Avocado & egg on toast, I had Eggs Benedict and another pastry thing with Feta. The cafe is lovely, with a nice atmosphere and really nice staff. The cafe smells nice as soon as you walk in, and is extremely clean. The food was amazing - my Eggs Benedict was the best I’ve had anywhere in the world, soft but with the perfect amount of crunch. Coffee is great too, with a choice of coffee beans offered. Our waiter, didn’t catch his name but I think he was Kenyan, was great too - well spoken and attentive, everything was 5* from start to finish and set us up perfectly for a nice day! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff — especially Rejoice, who was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our visit. Rain Cafe truly stands out with its top-notch service. From the moment you step in, the warm welcome at the entrance, guidance to seating, smooth ordering process, attentive service during the meal, and even being escorted out with big smiles make the whole experience exceptional. The café offers charming seating on two levels, with views overlooking the Corniche, perfect for a relaxed outing. Their menu has an amazing selection of coffees and food options. We tried the classic pancakes, mushroom croissant, hash brownies, avacado toast, butter burnt toast, Americano, and latte. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for both the quality of food and the outstanding hospitality.
