How can chicken shawarma be perfectly spiced, charred and juicy at the same time? Well these guys have perfected it. As a self proclaimed takeaway snob this is the second time I've ordered from them. I thought the first chicken shawarma was a fluke in all honesty. But it was not. The naan bread is beautiful, soft and thin. But not too thin. The salad is fresh and boxed separately so no wilting lettuce here. The chilli sauce is devine. The rice is just standard pilau. And the free pizza with order over £20 was appreciated but was more cheese than sauce. Standard takeaway pizza.

Ordered on uber eats. The driver took about 6 business weeks to arrive which obviously, isn’t the restaurants fault. But then we received the food and every single box was smothered in oil/grease! Opened them up and oil was just pouring out. Only ordered chicken shawarma meals so I’m not sure why it was like this. Used to be quite nice here but won’t be going back now, all went straight into the bin.

I can’t recommend Ashton Grill highly enough! The food here is absolutely delicious, always fresh, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. Every visit feels like a treat, and the variety on offer means there’s something for everyone. The food here was just top notch. The naan was crisp and not oily at all, the chicken shawarma was tasty and juicy and the chips were crispy. The salad felt fresh. Full of flavour and a great texture. The prices were par for the course for eat-in restaurants of this cuisine, but the quality of the food absolutely punches above the price point. The atmosphere was electric, the restaurant felt alive. The customer service was great and reflected the hospitality for which the Levant is known.
