Went in on a whim and we definitely made the right choice, food was lovely, staff friendly, prices good. Ate pancake stuffed with chicken, mushrooms, cheese etc. covered in cheese sauce beautiful, had a starter portion, which I liked you could have had it as a main course, larger portion. Pizza fungi, really nice too. Highly recommend.

Been going to Romano’s for many years the food never lets us down the service is great if not a little too keen. Went recently and on paying was told either cash or bank transfer as they no longer use the card machine. We had no cash so bank transfer it was . It took a couple of attempts as myself or my friend are of an age where tech doesn’t come easily and when you’ve had a couple of drinks remembering bank passwords is a bit of a task. If you go here I’d take cash maybe it should be stated on the website or on booking that these are the payment methods.

Bistro's has never misses a beat. The food is to die for, authentic Italian. I have never had a bad meal here. The service is prompt and the owner, Mario, is such a character that he makes everyone feel like family. I had the mushroom risotto and it was so deliciously creamy, I couldn't not finish. My partner had the Romano's special, which is a huge portion size! Definitely value for money!! Would definitely recommend this as a date night venue, but for family meals and friends day outs as well.

Our first visit before going to the Lamproom Theatre, and we loved it. The service was excellent with really friendly staff. And the food was delicious, so we will definitely be back again when we visit Barnsley for another theatre trip.
