Absolutely amazing experience at this chippy today. I ordered the munch box which included a can of pop too as part of the deal, with an extra curry sauce and the portions were huge. Everything tasted fresh and proper chippy quality. You can see the whole kitchen which is spotless and very clean which always makes a big difference. I asked if it was possible to substitute the donner meat for cod bites and they kindly did it for me with no problem at all. EAT ELSE WHERE AND AVOID FOOD POISONING. Owner is not a nice person. Rude and disrespectful. Fish is not cod. Nothing like it use to be. Chips were below average and dry, fish was dry and tasted like it had sat there a while and had been battered a few times (not sure if it was cod). Use to go all the time under the old owner but yesterday's serving was very poor. Service was lacklustre and no smiles, they looked unhappy to be working there. I love Fish & Chips since my early childhood so always have nostalgia any time I have it, so I am always looking out for new places to try. I do not live local to this chip shop so maybe that’s why it has taken me a few years to finally get myself here as I wouldn’t have any other reason to come over to that side of Birmingham. The 3 main ladies who work in there are amazingly friendly and helpful with absolutely perfect customer service skills aswell. They're so nice and made me feel really happy with their service. If their manager reads this then I believe they all need a huge raise or at least a decent bonus because they're brilliant and so very friendly.
