Popped in here for the first time while shopping in town and had an excellent lunch. The staff were both friendly and professional, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The café itself was spacious, clean and warm, with contemporary decor and some lovely pictures on the walls (all for sale, and more in an exhibition space upstairs that is open at weekends). What a lovely spot in Blackpool! We visited the town for my partner birthday and we got a free cake from Hivve staff cafe as a celebration for my partner! That was so nice! Hive is honestly one of my favourite places in the whole town. It’s got such a cool, relaxed atmosphere — modern but cosy, great decor, and always feels welcoming whether you’re popping in for a coffee, lunch or an evening drink. The food is brilliant — fresh, tasty, good portions, and really well priced. Everything is cooked fresh, you can tell they care about quality. Drinks list is great too — nice selection of coffees, teas, soft drinks, beers, wines and cocktails. Staff are amazing — friendly, chatty, quick service, it’s spotlessly clean everywhere, including the loos (always a plus!).

Went here with a friend for coffee and a slice of cake. The café latte I had was very good. I had the blackberry and white chocolate cake and it was delicious, I thought it was quite expensive at £4.50 a slice, but I may just be out of touch with café pricing. It’s a very busy place, very popular. They could do with another person serving people as there is only just one and it takes quite awhile to get served.
