We came here for dinner with friends and wow it was amazing! They have recently done a refurb and the place looks great. We had some platters to share, finished with chocolate orange tart, and a pear tart - both 10000/10! Would highly recommend. They also have a tv showing the euros (if you wanted to bring someone along who didn’t want to miss a game!) The team were lovely with excellent hospitality

Extremely disappointed. My partner visited here after seeing the menu, the food sounded great. Unfortunately, he was treated horribly by the staff. He asked to sit down as clearly there was seating. Instead the manager angrily waved him away, indicating that he wasn't allowed to sit. The manager made a rude gesture with his hands telling him to leave. My partner feels as though he was targeted for some reason, he was made to feel extremely unwelcome. Balagan is one of our absolute favourites! We’re regular customers and keep coming back because the food is consistently delicious. Their chicken soup is amazing, comforting, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The buy-one-get-one-free deal is incredible value as well, which makes it even better. I recently visited this establishment and ordered a pitta kebab. Unfortunately, the portion and quality did not meet expectations. The pitta contained only two small kebab pieces, which were quite dry, and the majority of the filling consisted of salad rather than the main protein. Additionally, the tahini lacked flavor and did not complement the dish as it should. Given my experience working in the food industry, these are fairly fundamental aspects that could benefit from improvement.
