Had breakfast here with my husband and we both ordered the South Coast Brunch — mine with halloumi and a well-done poached egg, and his with bacon. I also had a latte with caramel syrup. The food was excellent, really fresh and full of flavour. I especially liked the guacamole, and the chilli jam with the fresh ginger added a kick, a little on the sweet side for me. Service was good and everything arrived on time. It’s a small place, but in a nice way — intimate and cosy. South Coast Coffee Lively, bright and beautifully put together. It has a genuinely relaxed feel and the space is otherwise lovely to sit in. The only thing that lets it down is the plastic planting. In a space that is clearly trying to feel fresh, warm and calming, fake greenery slightly cheapens the effect. Real planting would completely lift it and make the whole place feel much more considered. Overall: simply cannot fault the staff or food beautiful, relaxing and full of life, just let down by the plastic plants.
