I am beyond disappointed with the treatment my husband received today from a manager named Julia. My husband is a regular M&S shopper and recently spent £99 on a blazer. After wearing it just once, the thread on the button came loose, a clear manufacturing fault for a week-old item. Instead of a simple exchange or refund (as per the 28-day policy), Julia indirectly accused him of purposefully cutting the button off to force a return. While I understand there is a sign stating returns are at "management discretion," that discretion should be used to help loyal customers, not to insult them. B

A good sized M&S store, with cafe and food hall. The food hall is well stocked with some nice food, we particularly love the frozen curry puffs. The clothing section has women's on ground floor and men's and children on first floor all have a good selection.

I usually like shopping at my local Marks & Spencer because the clothes are good quality and I’ve never had problems before. However, today I had a bad experience. I bought a sale item for my partner and the lady in menswear (Louise, I believe, an older lady with dark shoulder-length hair) did not tell me it couldn’t be refunded or exchanged until after I paid. She was very rude and spoke to me in a raised voice. The way I was treated made me feel targeted and possibly racially judged. I was shopping with my child and felt uncomfortable and upset, even though I did nothing wrong. I went down
