Called in again after work ( really must stop doing this ) Always welcomed by friendly staff. Good bar service from Brody. Fish and chips really nice. A bit quieter in eating area (Monday probably). We visted last week and I ordered fish and chips and my friend ordered a burger. The girl who took our order was great and helpfull. The food took such a long time to come, for what must have been at least 45 mins. It also turned out that for some reason the starters were coming with the mains. This was presumed by the staff, we certainly never asked for it this way. When the main food did come out, you could the food had been left aside for quite a while whilst we had the starter and one the fish and chips, the outer layer of the mushy peas had almost started to dry out. After learning the venue had been refurbished, I decided to visit for a few drinks with my partner. I was really impressed with the work that's been done. The addition of a dartboard, pool table, and sports on TV is fantastic! The staff were friendly and the manager very accommodating with switching on the match we wanted to watch! We'll definitely be visiting again soon.
