This is a great restaurant, and we will definitely go again next time we are in Brighton. We had a late booking, so the restaurant was quiet but not empty. The menu is varied, but not too long as to become overwhelming. Food arrived quickly, and was very generous with the portions. Everything tasted incredibly delicious. We ordered desserts (which we almost never do) which were also amazing. Staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. The bathrooms were clean.

We visited as a group of seven to celebrate a birthday, with six of us travelling in from London for the day—and it was absolutely worth it. The service was outstanding, and the staff were attentive throughout. The drinks menu was lively and full of great options, from beers to cocktails—I especially loved the boozy, boozy mango lassi! The food was exceptional: beautifully spiced, full of flavour, and truly memorable. We all chose the thali special, which was not only delicious but also excellent value for money. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning.

Amazing food. I had the fish and clam curry extra spicy with additional chillies, with black dhal. My friend had the chicken biryani. He was amazed woth the portions of chicken and a flavour he couldn't quite put his tongue on. It came with mint sauce and something else... Service was great although the waiter wouldn't tell us the secret recipe. He did explain though why Chilli Pickle had moved locations and how they wanted to reflect more street foods and the culture of India. I visited The Chilli Pickle with my wife yesterday, and unfortunately, I came away a bit disappointed with the food. I’ll admit I was initially sceptical about ordering from an Indian restaurant, but I wanted to give it a fair try. On the positive side, the staff were excellent—friendly and attentive—and the place itself had a great atmosphere. The aroma of the food was also very inviting. However, the dishes we ordered didn’t quite live up to expectations. While everything smelled fantastic, the flavours just didn’t deliver that “wow” factor I was hoping for.
