Exceptional roast We arrived at the venue around opening. Staff were delightful and very welcoming. We sat at the counter and watched the happy interested and relaxed brigade at work. Being an experienced reviewer, I was very impressed by all aspects of what I saw. The pep was great to watch and saw our meal being built. The food was superb, quality beef all elements at appropriate temperatures with lovely well balanced flavours. Only reason for no dessert was my partner was full so we had a dessert elsewhere later. As always the food was impeccable- orchestrated by chef Sam. Vesper cocktails were to die for; the dishes all seemed so small when reading the menu but the consistent high quality of the ingredients which all complemented each other and balanced the menu between rich and fresh was an accomplishment! The Counter Dining Experience is an exceptional offer not to be missed; we made new friends this time and met up with previous friends from a couple of years ago. We will be back!

Yummy food with an unconventional ordering style. you pick several small dishes main and starters to share, a British take on tapas, maybe? The food was delicious, both vegetarian and meat ( except the roasted eggplant, it wasn’t roasted at all, everything else was really yummy). The service was great too

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a lovely hostess who took us to our table in the upstairs restaurant. We got there for opening so had our pick of the tables. They set us up with a highchair for our toddler and gave him paper and pencils for colouring. Our waiter was very friendly, and we ordered quickly. We chose the focaccia bread with truffle butter to share, which came lightly salted and was divine. Such an amazing mix of flavours. There was also plenty of butter for the 3 chunky bits of bread.
