For us the key reason to go Brixton was always the amazing Federation Coffee in Brixton Village. It was heartbreaking to see it go. Luckily, there is a great alternative in Brixton: Stir Coffee Brixton. It is a 15 minutes walk from the Brixton tube station - but so worth it! The coffee they offer is simply superb. We had flat whites - our regular choice - which were just perfect. The accompanying banana bread was the best banana bread we have ever had, so tasty! We’ve become regulars here, and honestly, it’s one of the best cafés I’ve found in over thirty years in London. The coffee is consistently outstanding, the atmosphere is awesome and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely kind, nothing ever feels forced. It’s the kind of place where everyone, feels at home. Their sandwiches, cakes, and custard donuts are amazing too. The music is great, and even when it gets lively with families and kids over the weekend, it keeps that same lovely, welcoming energy!
