Very friendly staff! Atmosphere nice sports/ music nice to just enjoy have a few beers. However the pints of coors we had was flat I couldn’t drink it, Food prices are good however food the chips are over cooked / left for a while then just reheated and served was like bullets really. Decent portion though of food served. Pizzas decent size, however rock hard struggled to cut it. Very disappointing really as service is good from staff just pints of Coors was flat however cider fine and food was a massive let down I don’t think I’ll be ordering food again from here.

Used to love the merchant but went in last week for first time in a few months and it was empty at dinner time. Had the choice of sitting virtually anywhere but the music was too loud through the speakers. Couldn’t read the new cheap menus as the printing was so small, had to walk over to some good lighting and squint. The choices of food was greatly reduced so we left and went to Wetherspoons.

My mate and i popped in on a monday afternoon around 530pm. Staff are friendly and served us promptly. We have two cokes to drink. I had the scampi and chips. Decent portion and the scampi was nice and cripsy coating, with sweet meat inside. Chips were cooked well. Had to pay extra to have beans instead of peas though. Tartare sauce had a nice spicy taste to it which i liked and i am not really a tartare sauce fan. My mate had a 10oz steak, which he asked for rare but seemed more blue. He said it tasted ok but you could tell is was a 10 quid steak. Will eat here again at some point im sure
