Pub itself is nice and good for drinks, service is good too. However food was very underwhelming. Fish and chips were okay, but the burger (which every pub should get right) was difficult to actually finish. The meat was very dry and for the first time I’ve literally been unable to finish a burger of this size. See picture of the burger broken up - it was so dry and the taste not great. Very disappointing lunch. The banana parfait dessert was decent though.

Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, and the staff genuinely make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. The food has never disappointed — consistently tasty and great quality. They’ve got a brilliant selection of craft beers, so there’s always something new to try, and there’s usually some sort of event going on which keeps things lively. It’s the kind of local you’re happy to call your regular. Highly recommend.

Visited on Saturday afternoon for a family birthday meal as a large group of around 13 people. The pub itself is really impressive, with lots of character and a lovely terrace garden that’s perfect on a sunny day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, although they did seem a little stretched with how busy it was. That said, they made some great cocktails. Unfortunately, the food really let the experience down. I had the pleasure of Visiting The Sun in Carshalton today. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, greeting you upon entrance and when leaving, which always leaves a good impression. I had a couple of pints of Twickenham Naken Ladies, which was in tip-top condition. Well done to whoever looks after the beer and the cellar, the best I have tasted in a long time. The food is delicious, I had 8oz Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter £28 with a complementary glass of 175ml house wine. It was cooked to perfection, highly recommend it. You must visit this pub.
