Just excellent. We came on a Sunday evening and were slightly perturbed when we walked into an empty restaurant. We noticed on the way that places like Prezzo were full - after our dinner, I thought more the fool them! We had two courses with several appetisers in-between. I won’t repeat what others have said about the food as it goes without saying it was excellent. Don’t expect the usual Indian food either - a welcome break! A lovely touch was the gin I had where the glass goblet was full of spices, flowers, herbs and fruit which smelt, looked and tasted divine. Please support this restauran

What an amazing place! Very understated exterior. Calm and unassuming interior - very welcoming and comfortable. This was a good start to our first visit. Friendly, welcoming staff: nothing was too much trouble. Seasoning of food was adjusted to my wife's preference. The various small plates served between courses were fabulous tasty treats. And the food itself: presentation 10/10. Flavours 11/10. Service 11/10. Lamb for wife and chicken for me. Amazing. The cost was very reasonable - especially with the June discount. The whole experience was wonderful. Definitely among the best food

A small but delightful Indian style restaurant, the tasting menu is a great way to sample the excellent food. Or,just try one dish if you want. The railway lamb curry alone is a great dish, good sized portions, you will like the gourmet foods. Friendly staff,good attentive service. Highly recommended, Pricing on the topside, but really great value for money. The lovely Amina served us on our 2nd visit, what a delight a lovely charming lady with excellent food as always from a great chef and team

We had an unforgettable experience. The restaurant is unassuming but you won’t regret your visit. Delicious food and fantastic service. Between us we had the chicken & duck starters and beef rib for our main, and all 3 types of meat were premium quality and cooked to absolute perfection. Couldn’t recommend East India Cafe more.
