Stopped off before a long trek to the cliffs and had a espresso and choc cake, my brother tried the Apple pie and espresso. Both really nice and tasty, generous portions. Would recommend if in Southbourne, excellent location before going to the east cliffs. Staff are friendly and helpful and atmosphere was chilled and relaxed.

Nice cafe at Hengisbury Head with seating inside and out. Good range of food from main meals to snacks and cakes with a range of drinks. Some gluten free options. Friendly staff with quick service. Public toilets next door. Watch out for seagulls and other birds if you are eating outside.

Extremely disappointing experience I ordered scrambled eggs on toast with two extra hash browns for £9.50. The scrambled eggs were clearly undercooked and looked raw in places, making them inedible. The only things I could eat were the hash browns and one slice of toast. What made this worse was the complete lack of customer service. I left my barely touched plate clearly visible on the table, yet despite there being 3–4 staff members working, they walked past it at least 15–20 times without once asking if everything was okay or if there was a problem. Extremely busy!!! But the food was good. There is a sign for a 20-30min wait for food... its the only cafe in the area too so if you're tight on time, better bringing own food or going to town. I really enjoyed it though.
