Not only our first time to Christchurch, but our first visit to NUSARA Thai, from the most friendly a warm welcome from Ollie & Tammy, so a massive Thank You for making our evening so enjoyable. From the warm welcome we were shown to our table, in a well appointed restaurant with its warm decor you start to feel at home. The service from the team was absolutely amazing, chatting with us about our day, trip & experience of the area as we placed our order, which was adapted to cater for our Gluten Free requirements. O

The restaurant was busy and had a nice ambiance when we arrived. The manager was very welcoming and gave us a window table because I was on crutches. We ordered prawn crackers twice but never got them. When the starters arrived, they weren’t what we ordered. We weren’t in a rush so this wasn’t a big problem and was rectified. When the food arrived, it was excellent and probably one of the best Thai food we’ve had for a while but the pad Thai was a bit too sweet for our liking. The staff on arrival were very welcoming, we didn’t have a booking but the staff were very accommodating and let us pick our own table. The restaurant is designed well and has lovely feature screens between tables which gives it an exclusive private feeling to your dining experience. The red thai chicken curry with jasmine rice is simply amazing and probably the best I’ve ever had! Booked online. We have visited before whilst stopping overnight at the Kings Arms before seeing a tribute show at the Regent. It makes for a nice break. The staff are welcoming and attentive, the food is great and our discount by staying at the Kings Arms is welcome! We will be back!
