This is a really good value hotel with lovely staff. Clean, warm, comfy. Great options for food, nice restaurant, bar and service. Good breakfast. Other facilities short walk away. Ubers come quickly for getting in and out of Edinburgh. Very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

had a wonderful stay at The Braid Hotel in Edinburgh. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the room was comfortable and well-maintained. The whisky tasting experience was a real highlight—informative, well presented, and a great way to enjoy Scottish culture. Having a couple of extra days to relax before returning to work made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel provided a calm and cosy atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. A really lovely place to stay. A little tired but to be expected.(3⭐) Super location. You can catch a bus from out the hotel into the city center for just £2.40. The restaurant food was good but portions were small. The breakfast buffet was really good so worth booking alongside your room. We had a standard double room which was of a good size and well serviced. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was really good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit.

Had a few days at this friendly and relaxed hotel. Room nicer than I expected for the price. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean. Nice little touches like tissues in the room, and eco/plant friendly toiletries. Everything simple to use - and a window that could be opened! Proper hangers in the wardrobe instead of those hangers that can't be moved, that say 'We don't trust you.' Good inexpensive menu including an entirely vegan menu. Civilised check out time of 11am! Very easy access to Morningside, Edinburgh centre (regular buses), and wonderful places to walk to on the door step (recom
