Called in here for the first time last weekend and it was very good. Food was lovely!! The staff were very pleasant. Coffee was delicious! Will definitely be back for another breakfast and coffee. ☕️

An alright meal at an okay price and the service was good. Not the greatest of selection for meals but good selection of baked goods. So it depends on what we're after. We will use this venue, again, selectively. A good positive, for us. Is they allow well behaved dogs, though we didn't have ours with us this time.

Been meaning to visit Maddison’s for a while. Didn’t book in advance and went on a Monday late morning and got the last table. We sat in the Snug which was a nice little hideaway from the rest of the coffee shop, but it was far from snug..it was very cold and we kept our coats on. Menu is varied, everything from breakfasts to baked potatoes, waffles, crepes… good choice of delicious looking fresh baked slices too. Lots of drinks and delicious coffees to choose from too. We stopped here on our way south from Newcastle to Rant Castle. They opened pretty much as we arrived and had the choice of seating. With the sun already shining at 9am, we sat outside but in the shade. Service was quick and polite, even with the staff busy seating new customers. We both went for the smashed avo with poached egg and crispy bacon. Beautiful! We were very happy with choice of eatery and would be more than happy to eat here again if we're in the area.
