Our team recently visited Burn on the River in Derry for our Christmas dinner, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The food was absolutely excellent—delicious, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by everyone at the table. The service was outstanding throughout the evening. The staff were friendly, attentive, and well organized, making sure everything ran smoothly and that our group felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after. Two of us went in last week as the new menu looked appealing. Both ordered steak and eggs. When they arrived it looked like it was just thrown on the plate. Not only that, there were no kale potatoes, like it said it was served with on the menu. When we pointed It out we were told the chef said he forgot to put them on. Both steaks were ordered medium rare. One came out rare and the other medium well. The silver lining was that the young blonde waitress was excellent. She was extremely helpful and attentive. But unfortunately we won’t be rushing back.

Burn on the river is a fantastic restaurant that has recently opened where Timberquay was in Derry. It is in a wonderful setting overlooking the Foyle and is tastefully finished inside. It has an excellent menu of both food and drinks. We didn't have a starter but the sirloin steak, duck and sides were faultless. The guinness, cocktails and Irish coffee were all lovely. Excellent service and staff. The manager, Stephen is excellent at his job, as he has always been when working in other restaurants.
