A lovely cafe on the high street with good quality cakes and drinks and friendly staff. We went in earlier today with our 4-month old puppy, who was in a cafe for the first time, and staff were very kind and made an effort to give her a wee cuddle 💕.

I visited today and it was glorious sun shine outside..The cafe was like an oven, there was no air conditioning/cooler and there was no iced drink available. Food is usually good here but today I got a wrap and I assumed it would be cold but it was heated and I did not enjoy it.. Service is always good here and staff wonderful so no complaints in that area.

Cafe Nero is my go-to cafe in Dunfermline, which makes me sad giving it one star. But the owner needs to step up and solve the place’s fridge problem. The place doesn’t have ice whenever it’s warm and sunny outside, which is the worst time to not have ice, right? Surely the business would benefit from having this issue resolved. For several years now the cafe’s freezers have been unable to keep ice when the weather is summer-like. Which is a real shame and I wish the owner invests in fixing this. Usually Cafe Nero is my favourite cafe for its warm atmosphere, which is why this experience at the Dunfermline branch was so disappointing. My 11 year old daughter and I came in at 5:10 pm Sunday 5th of April during snow, sleet and heavy rain, completely drenched and freezing. The cafe closes at 6 pm, so there was plenty of time for us to have a hot drink and wait a little for the weather to calm down. We ordered a coffee, a luxury hot chocolate and two cakes, but were only served in takeaway cups, which we accepted out of consideration for closing time. I have no issues with it. Unfortunate
