My girlfriend and I popped into The Toast Rack Bake House for lunch yesterday and were seriously impressed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff were friendly, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. I had the BLT sandwich and it was genuinely one of the best I've had in a long time, perfectly cooked and hand cut bacon, fresh ingredients, and packed with flavour. It's great to find an independent local spot that clearly cares about quality and gets the simple things absolutely right. Fantastic spot - the brunch is delicious. The toast, unsurprisingly, is fantastic. Sourdough that’s crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. Big fan of the beetroot cured salmon for the Eggs Royale too, it’s such good quality!

The seating area is clean and comfortable, and is situated behind the shop front. I had the halloumi sourdough sandwich, it was nice and filling, made with proper soft, slightly chewy sourdough bread. Good coffee too.
