Lovely local cafe serving food both day and night. Daytime menu is cafe style food with breakfasts and sandwiches with evening food ranging from flatbread pizzas to burgers and tapas. Beer and cider on draught available throughout the day. A couple of outdoor seats available. Portion sizes are very generous and we were stuffed! Good price of just over £26 for 2 sandwiches, 1 coffee and a pint of Coke Zero. Fresh desserts served daily. Can’t wait to come back again!

I go here on my Sunday day of rest for breakfast and coffee and without fail, every week it is absolutely delicious! Very good portion of food and reasonably priced too. Everything on that plate is very good quality. The team here work so hard, the place can get super busy within minutes of opening and the team remain calm and polite and friendly throughout. It's a nice place to relax and unwind after a heavy week with the two things I love the most...coffee and food! Well done Mio for being so consistently awesome! 💜

I had a wonderful breakfast experience at Mio’s in South Shields. I ordered the muffin with eggs Benedict and a cup of tea, and both were absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful. The service was amazing, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything was perfect. I’ll definitely be coming back for more breakfasts at Mio’s. Highly recommended!

First time getting food from Mio's tonight Chicken gougons on flat bread a little over cooked and burnt so hopefully just a one off don't think gougons should be cooked like this. Will try again and hopefully better the next time.
